We started our BBQ Contest career approximately three years ago.  Our first contest is the one that stands out the most.  It's not the most memorable because we did so well......we didn't.  The thing that stands out the most about that contest is that although we knew how to cook BBQ, we realized that we didn't know anything about what we would need at a BBQ Contest.  We actually had most of the big things like meat, charcoal, sauce and a pit.  What we didn't have were a lot of little things like drinking water, soap, something to wash our pans in and slew of other things like that.  It was at that contest that this webzine was born.  It's taken us a while to figure out the format.  At first we were going to make an e-book and sell it on the net.  Then we dicided that we didn't want people who were thinking about entering their first contest to have to BUY our book.  There's enough to buy without adding the cost of a book or list.  Although we tried to think of everything, I'm sure there are some things that we left out and will have to add.  Come back often to update.  If you are a seasoned veteran of BBQ contests please feel free to add your thoughts.  Simply send us an email and we will include your idea in the book along with a link to your site.  A little free publicity for you as a way for us to say thanks for your help.
